The Biggest Test Of My Life! How Can I Be Calm?!?!

“Is my university entry exam, which i have been preparing for a year, problem is that although i have been getting good scores in my verbal exam all year, today I did one where i got a really bad score, so im panicking, what can i do? why did this happen? im really upset, my exam is in two days.”

Friend, take a few moments here for you………wherever you are stand up…….have nothing in the background going on – no people, no videos, no music, ONLY YOU……Now as you stand here, breathe DEEPLY……..allow your belly to expand for 2 seconds feeling every ounce of effort and time you have put into studying…now let your chest expand for one full second as you energetically feel all of the frustrations and upsets boiling up!

Now exhale and feel your chest and belly return to a neutral position………Do this again but hold your breath for 10 seconds, 10 full seconds….when you feel yourself about to gasp for air let out a BIG EXHALE and notice……notice that through those 10 seconds the only thing you were thinking about was you wanted to breathe and let go!

I invite you to do the same with this “one set back”. You have been kicking butt up until one point, so what? You have PROVEN to yourself that you have what it takes, that you are committed and have EARNED the RIGHT to be at this university. DO NOT, I REPEAT…DO NOT let this one score dictate your vision, your D.R.E.A.M (Direct Reflection Expressing A Miracle) and where you want to be in the future.

Always remember that, “A set back is a setup, for a COME BACK”.
